This is a landmark restaurant for Toledo most noted for its being mentioned by Klinger from the 70's tv show Mash. In a 1976 episode, Klinger put Packo's on the map with this line: "If you are ever in Toledo, Ohio, on the Hungarian side of town, Tony Packo's got the greatest Hungarian hot dogs." The M*A*S*H™ 4077th ordered a batch of sausage casings from Packo's to use in a blood-filtering machine. Klinger talks with a wounded soldier from Toledo. Corporal (later Sergeant) Maxwell Q. Klinger is a character from the M*A*S*H television series played by Jamie Farr. A Lebanese-American from Toledo, Ohio, Klinger served as an orderly/corpsman, and later company clerk, assigned to the 4077th M*A*S*H unit during the Korean War. He was born in 1908, just a stone's throw from Consaul and Genesee Streets.
